Ashtanga Yoga is a very challenging type of yoga. It teaches specific yoga sequences that scale with your progress. Also known as Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, practitioners move rapidly and flow between poses. It focuses on mastery of the poses and advancement to more difficult levels.

Jivamukti Yoga is a new modern way of practicing yoga flow. It is similar to Vinyasa Yoga but incorporates chanting and meditation. It focuses on the physical, spiritual and ethical aspects of yoga. This contemporary type of yoga aims to apply yogic principles to modern lifestyles.

Yoga is best practiced in groups, especially if you are a beginner. It is also much more fun to have interactions with other teachers and students.
