This is terrible advice. Yes, there are different body types and shapes. Society decided that certain body shapes and types are better than others. So, “fashion advice” for those with a body type deem “less desirable” suggests using clothes to mimic the “better” body type is the worst advice ever, particularly for a woman with an inverted triangle body shape. You want a woman with my body type to mimic an “hourglass” to the proportions you deem worthy? That’s preposterous. You may as well tell her to wear clothes that make her look 30 pounds heavier than she is. Pft. No. Women look our very best when we don’t try to mimic something we are not. Yes, I have broad shoulders and they are outstanding. My broad shoulders taper down a back that as a benefit of my body type carries more muscle definition. And my hips do give curve, albeit not as much and yes, my ass isn’t as full. But no man cares too much about how full or not full a woman’s ass is when she knows how it works with all her other assets…like that strong long back and legs that go on forever. Should I wear clothes that are not tight? Wear tarps, LOL or should I showcase the beauty my own body type as itself not pretending to be something someone else says is “better.”
