Hyperliquid doesn’t support direct BTC withdrawals in the traditional sense. Here’s how it works:

1️⃣ How Hyperliquid handles Bitcoin

  • Hyperliquid is primarily a perpetuals trading platform using USDC as collateral.

  • Even if you deposit BTC, it’s converted to USDC for trading.

  • You cannot withdraw BTC directly back to a wallet. The BTC you deposit is effectively tokenized into USDC within the platform.

2️⃣ How to get your funds out

  1. Close your positions: Sell or close any BTC/crypto positions to settle in USDC.

  2. Withdraw USDC: Hyperliquid allows you to withdraw USDC to an EVM-compatible wallet.

  3. Convert USDC to BTC externally: If you want BTC in your personal wallet, use a crypto exchange or swap service (like Binance, Coinbase, or a decentralized swap) to convert USDC back to BTC.

3️⃣ Summary Table

Step Action Notes
Deposit BTC Deposit BTC into Hyperliquid Automatically converted to USDC
Trade Use USDC to open BTC positions Perpetual contracts only
Withdraw Withdraw USDC to wallet Cannot withdraw BTC directly
Convert Swap USDC for BTC externally Use exchange or DeFi swap

Takeaway

  • You cannot withdraw BTC directly from Hyperliquid.

  • To get BTC back in your wallet, you must withdraw USDC and then swap it for BTC elsewhere.

  • Always double-check fees and transaction limits when converting and withdrawing.
