To sell Bitcoin (BTC) on Hyperliquid, follow these steps:

1️⃣ Connect Your Wallet

Hyperliquid supports various EVM-compatible wallets, including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Ledger Live. Click the “Connect” button on the top-right of the trading interface, select your wallet, and approve the connection. (Coin Bureau)

2️⃣ Deposit Bitcoin to Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid allows direct BTC deposits. After connecting your wallet, you'll receive a unique deposit address. Send your BTC to this address. Note that only USDC is used as trading collateral, so you may need to convert your BTC to USDC for trading purposes. (Hyperliquid Docs)

3️⃣ Convert BTC to USDC (if necessary)

To use your BTC for trading on Hyperliquid, you'll need to convert it to USDC. This can be done through the platform's integrated swap feature or by using a third-party service. (Trust Wallet)

4️⃣ Sell BTC via Perpetual Contracts

Hyperliquid operates as a decentralized perpetuals exchange. Instead of traditional spot trading, you can open a short position on BTC using USDC as collateral. This allows you to profit from BTC's price decline. Use the token selector to choose BTC, decide on your position size and leverage, and place your order. (Hyperliquid Docs)

5️⃣ Withdraw USDC or Fiat

After selling or shorting BTC, you can withdraw your USDC. Click the “Withdraw” button in the bottom right of the trading interface, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. Note that there is a $1 withdrawal fee. (Hyperliquid Docs)

If you prefer to sell your BTC for fiat currency, you can use platforms like Transak or Bitget. These platforms allow you to sell HYPE (Hyperliquid's native token) for fiat, which may involve additional steps. (Transak)
