I often ask this: what is yoga for you? There are so many different meanings of yoga. Most of us practice yoga but it makes us feel amazing.

Yoga has already conquered millions of people around the world. But there are many reasons to practice yoga. Many different types of yoga and goals.

It does not matter much why you practice yoga. As long as you do it correctly and regularly, it will only benefit you in the long run.

Here are the most common meanings of yoga.

What Is Hatha Yoga?

In itself, yoga means union. Union of the individual self with the universal consciousness. But many people view yoga as physical exercise.

Hatha Yoga is a system of physical postures (asanas) that prepare the body for spiritual awareness and meditation.

A strong, flexible, pure, and healthy body is the result of yoga but not its primary goal.

It helps a lot with relaxation and concentration. Yoga is designed to cultivate clarity and peacefulness.
